Multiscale chirality and optical activity: bridging molecules and nanomaterials
This one-week summer school is dedicated to molecular and nanoscale chirality, combining fundamental knowledge, cutting-edge research presentations and an interdisciplinary approach. The programme is designed for Master and doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows and young researchers in chemistry and materials science.
Participants will follow a scientific programme delivered entirely in English, built around advanced topics in molecular chirality, nanostructures and chiral spectroscopy. The summer school features internationally recognised experts, including a strong representation of Bordeaux-based researchers.
“Chirality invites us to examine how the smallest molecular asymmetries determine structure and behaviour. Across disciplines and scales, it offers a shared language for understanding form, function, and design. Introduced early through molecular examples, chirality now naturally extends into emerging research at the interface of nanoscience and light–matter interactions.”
